The Division 2 Loading Time Fix

The Division 2 Loading Time Fix | Is there a fix?

The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. That’s what it feels like when it comes to The Division 2 updates, anyway. Since The Division 2 1.06 (2.1) update has gone live, PC players have been encountering The Division 2 long load times. The Division 2 loading time increase is quite spectacular and rather annoying. If you’re after a The Division 2 loading time fix, however, we might just have something for you below.

The Division 2 Loading Time | What’s the issue?

The Division 2 Loading Time Fix

Ever since The Division 2 2.1 update has gone live, PC players have noticed that the game takes an age to load, when it didn’t before. We’ve seen reports of times anywhere between five and ten minutes mentioned. The bug appears to be affecting those of us with ultra-fast SSDs as well as those with perhaps the more standard PC rig setups. What’s worse, some players are claiming that once the game does eventually boot up, it crashes after a small while.

Of course, none of this is ideal. It shouldn’t take upwards of five minutes to load a game and start playing, let alone any crashes afterward. Read on for any potential fixes for the bug.

The Division 2 Loading Time Fix

Unfortunately, there is no official fix for the overly lengthy Division 2 loading times on PC. Ubisoft is aware that plenty of players have encountered the new bug since the latest patch went live, however. Hopefully, this means that an official fix may be released sooner rather than later on PC via another game update.

If it is taking an age to load The Division 2 on PC after the update, please let Ubisoft know and provide a video as evidence, just as SuspiciousPixel has done here. This will help Ubisoft understand the problem and to fix it more quickly.

Aside from waiting for a fix via an update, however, we’d recommend perhaps dialing your Division 2 graphics settings down. Make sure you have plenty of room left on your hard drive, too. It’s likely that changing things such as these won’t make a difference, but it’s always worth a shot.
