Fortnite Burst SMG Stats | New Burst SMG leak

After today’s Fortnite update, quite a lot of new content has been datamined. This includes the leaked Fortnite Burst SMG. While we don’t know for sure if the Burst SMG will make its way into Fortnite definitely, the Fortnite Burst SMG stats have been datamined, too. Read on to find out what the Burst SMG in Fortnite is and what its stats are like.

What is the leaked Fortnite Burst SMG?

Fortnite Burst SMG Stats

Thanks to Storm Shield One, we know what the Burst SMG looks like and what kind of power it has under its hood. We’ll focus on its stats below, however. For now, just having a look at the Burst SMG (which you can see in the image above), it is… definitely an SMG. A small one, though.

Submachine guns already exist within Fortnite, so what will make the Burst SMG stand out? Instantly, it looks different. It’s small size and white/grey design certainly looks cool enough. The main difference, however, is that it is a burst SMG. This means that it will more than likely fire bursts of bullets, rather than a steady stream of the things. You will fire off three-five bullets very quickly (perfect for headshots and accuracy), with a gap in-between each burst if you hold the shoot button down. How powerful is the Burst SMG, though?

Fortnite Burst SMG Stats

Again, thanks to Storm Shield One, we know that there are three variants of the Burst SMG. These are common, uncommon, and rare. Please bear in mind that the following stats have been datamined and are subject to change when the gun does make its way into Fortnite. You can see the common, uncommon, and rare Burst SMG stats respectively below:

  • Damage: 23 | 24 | 25
  • Critical Chance: 0%
  • Fire Rate: 3.4
  • Magazine Size: 20
  • Ammo Type: Light Bullets
  • Range: 4,000
  • Reload Time: 2.475 | 2.3625 | 2.25
  • Impact: 25 | 27 | 28
  • Environmental Damage: 18 | 19 | 20

It will be interesting to see exactly how the community takes to the Burst SMG. It’s safe to say that new weapons and items can have rocky landings. These stats don’t suggest anything too powerful or too weak, however.
