A new The Division 2 update recently brought a brand new specialization into the game, known as Gunner. The Gunner specialization is the first new specialization to come to The Division 2 post-launch and has a lot of players excited. However, the new The Division 2 gunner specialization won’t just be handed to you, you’ll have to earn it. So, how exactly do you unlock the Gunner specialization in The Division 2?
The Division 2 Gunner | How to unlock the Gunner specialization
The Gunner is equipped with a new powerful minigun which will also serve as the vanguard for SHD agents. The new Gunner specialization comes to The Division 2 as part of Tidal Update 4. Since the update has gone live already, this means that The Division 2 Gunner specialization is live in the game and is waiting for players to unlock.
If you want to unlock the Gunner specialization, there are two ways you can go about it. The first way to unlock The Division 2 Gunner specialization is through a series of in-game challenges. Players will be given five different in-game tasks that they will need to complete in order to unlock the Gunner specialization. Once they have finished all of the tasks, they will be able to play as the Gunner.
Secondly, if you own The Division 2 Year One Pass, you’ll be able to get your hands on the Gunner specialization immediately. If you already have the Year One Pass and thus unlock the Gunner specialization right away, you will still be given a list of Special Field Research challenges that you can complete to earn unique cosmetic rewards.
The Year One Pass also includes early access to Year One episodes, eight exclusive narrative missions, and more. If you don’t own The Division 2 Year One Pass and would like to, you can purchase it for $40 on the Ubisoft Store or on your respective platform’s store.
