Bloodstained Ritual of the Night Playable Characters | DLC playable characters

After years spent in its deep slumber, Bloodstained Ritual of the Night has finally released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC (it releases on Nintendo Switch on June 25, 2019). Koji Igarashi’s latest Metroidvania-style game has plenty for fans to dig their fangs into, but who are the Bloodstained Ritual of the Night playable characters? We’ll go through who you can play as in Bloodstained Ritual of the Night below. This includes playable characters from out of the box and Bloodstained Ritual of the Night DLC playable characters. Read on for all the details you could ever need for playable characters in Bloodstained Ritual of the Night.

Bloodstained Ritual of the Night Playable Characters | Miriam and Zangetsu

Bloodstained Ritual of the Night Playable Characters

Although there were a few playable characters in the bonus 8-bit stretch goal prequel Bloodstained Curse of the Moon, unfortunately, there are only two playable characters in Bloodstained Ritual of the Night. You sadly won’t be playing as Alfred or Gebel here. The Bloodstained Ritual of the Night playable characters are Miriam and Zangetsu.

Miriam acts as the game’s main protagonist and playable character. The amnesia-riddled girl takes it upon herself to end Gebel’s reign of terror and to reverse the effects of the demon-encrusted crystals that lay in her skin.

Zangetsu, meanwhile, is a demon hunter. He fights with dual katanas and is angry and cold to the world around him. Zangetsu has been fighting demons throughout Miriam’s ten-year slumber and has only grown his hatred towards the demons in that time.

Bloodstained Ritual of the Night Playable Characters

For those of you wishing that there were more than two playable characters, more could be added via DLC. According to Koji Igarashi on Kickstarter, plenty of new features are being added thanks to free DLC. This includes three new playable characters, local and online multiplayer, roguelike mode, chaos mode, classic mode, and a Boss Revenge mode.

There will be a grand total of 13 pieces of DLC given to us all for free. We know, too, who one of the two playable characters will be. You will be able to play as Shovel Knight, at least. You will be able to customize Miriam at a later date, too. Unfortunately, we don’t know who the other two playable DLC characters will be as of writing.
