Nintendo has confirmed the details regarding the 5th Tetris 99 Maximus Cup. In a slight change from the norm, however, it is a Tetris 99 Splatoon 2 themed Splatfest Maximus Cup. Tetris 99 Splatoon 2 Splatfest Maximus Cup Date and Time
Nintendo has been doing a decent job at keeping Tetris 99 fresh, but in case you haven’t heard about it, the game’s fifth Maximus Cup is really off the hook. That’s right, Nintendo has confirmed a Splatoon 2 Maximus Cup event for Tetris 99. To help celebrate the final Splatoon 2 Splatfest, a special Tetris 99 Splatfest Maximus Cup event will be taking place in everyone’s favorite puzzling battle royale. As of the time of this writing, the event is only confirmed to be taking place in both North America and Japan. Hopefully the latest crossover event will make its way to all regions, as no one will want to miss out on its reward.
The Tetris 99 Splatoon 2 Splatfest Maximus Cup dates and time are as follows in North America:
- July 12, 12 AM PT until July 15, 11:59 PM PT
- July 12, 3:00 AM ET until July 16, 2:59 AM ET
As with other Tetris 99 Maximus Cups, players who participate are eligible to unlock an in-game theme. You’ll be able to keep things fresh in Tetris 99 with the unlockable Splatoon 2 theme. You simply need to build up a total of 100 event points during the Splatfest Maximus Cup (during the times listed above) in order to unlock the Splatoon 2 in-game theme. This is a particularly woomy event, for sure. Time to get some practice in before it all kicks off.
