Once more into the... High School jungle.
My School Dance is yet another "freemium" iPhone game that urges players to play frequently in short bursts to get the most enjoyment out of the experience. Log in, do an activity, log out.
1) Making Money
Unfortunately, this brainless cafe activity is the only way you'll make money in the game and it's essentially a whack-a-mole coffee-shop. The first 20 levels generate about 200 bucks for new clothes, so mindlessly tap at the colored items in front of you until you've completed the order. Continuing on to the next challenge level penalizes you for touching in active icons and further challenge levels add more parameters.
Really though, if you're not willing to shell out money for My School Dance, don't. Just keep tapping and you'll eventually earn enough money for the clothes you want to buy.
2) Talking To Boys
Never mind that these guys are all jerks who only talk to you if your clothes are "cool" enough. This is all about popularity. If you want to aim low, you can get the Band Leader to like you relatively easily.
The Bad Boy and other stereotypes have much higher popularity ratings, but let's face it: you're going to have to play that cafe minigame A LOT if you aim your sights any higher than Class President.
Just keep buying new clothes and eventually the boys will talk to you.
3) Dancing
When you're finally able to go to the prom and the dance competition, you'll be tasked with tapping all over again, just like in the cafe. Just hit the correct spots on your device and everything will go smoothly.
At least it's not like real life, where someone spills something on you and your mom comes with one of your older dresses that is sooooo last year's color, but it doesn't matter anyway because your life is over and Jimmy will never talk to you again and you can't even get with the Band Leader because he's at the dance with the oboist and mom REALLY doesn't understand because how could she possibly understand your complicated, mixed up, coffee serving, materialistic life?
And that's My School Dance. There's a way to cheat your way to a lot more Beauty Bucks but it's a third party program that installs viruses and other malicious software to your computer, so don't go that route! Just follow these tips and you'll eventually land a Corey.
