Hints
Mind Your Environment
If you pay close attention to your environment, you'll find that it often provides helpful clues that let you know what you should do next. In particular, watch for clues that you might be near a hidden passage (such as conspicuous grass near a wall or hill) and learn to look for symbols that prompt you to blow your horn. Finally, watch for objects such as fire pits that you can use to light your arrows afire, as the presence of a pit typically implies you can find a way to put it almost immediately to use.
Watch for Cues
As you battle some of the fearsome foes in the game, you'll be prompted to perform certain actions. If you are quick to press the directions indicated on-screen, you can often stun a foe. This provides you with the opportunity to land a few blows on a temporarily stunned enemy before you have to worry overly much about dodging out of the way of retaliation, so take advantage of each such opportunity as you memorize your foe's attack patterns and learn how best to otherwise counter them.
Don't Quit The Game
If you quit the game and return to the title screen while playing a mission, you'll need to restart said mission from the beginning. Instead, press the iPhone or iPad's Home button to exit, as you stand a greater chance of picking up where you left off.
Equip Pendants
Equip a pendant while at the blacksmith's forge, granting Horn additional health, attack and critical chance boosts.
Exploding Pybooms And Pygite Potions
Keep a stock of Exploding Pybooms and Pygite Potions handy. First one temporarily stuns monsters and lets you score a bunch of hits as a result, while the second refills Horn's life bar.
Enemy Weaknesses
Each monster in Horn has a weak point hidden away beneath its armor. Find it.
Follow On-Screen Cues
At specific points, the game will offer a means to avoid a monster's attack, such as pressing the jump button at key moments during a fight. While in mid-air, swipe in the displayed direction to deliver a powerful strike that will temporarily stun Horn's enemy. This will give you a great chance to whittle away the creature's life bar without the threat of retaliation.
Shoot Tiny Floating Pygons
These harmless robots bob up and down through the air hitting these suckers with Horn's crossbow will result in a small amount of Pygite.
Use Fire Pits To Solve Puzzles
If there is a fire pit nearby you can use it to solve a puzzle that involves firing an arrow directly through the flame, usually towards some patch of shrubbery blocking Horn's path.
Use Horn's Crossbow As A Grappling Hook
Remember to look up, as you may discover a grapple point that'll lead to treasure chests, cores and pygite. Just head into first person crossbow mode and hit the target. Horn will take it from there.
