Fortnite won’t update on Xbox One

How to fix the Fortnite won’t update on Xbox One bug

After the Fortnite v10.00 content update earlier this morning, Xbox One players are having trouble getting their game to update. This is obviously a frustrating issue for players who wanted to hop online and check out the new Tilted Town and try out the Automatic Sniper Rifle that came as part of the update. Unfortunately, the Fortnite won’t update on Xbox One bug seems to be affecting most Xbox players. This begs the question how do you fix the Fortnite won’t update bug?

Fortnite Won’t Update on Xbox One | Is there a fix?

Ever since the update went live this morning at 8 AM ET, Xbox One players have been locked out of the most popular game available right now. One thing causing even more frustration is that Xbox One players were the only ones who were required to download an update. Ironically, the required download was intended to fix stability issues when players were playing with a Kinect plugged in.

Instead of fixing the stability issues for the small amount of Kinect players, Epic accidentally took down the game for all Xbox One players. Unfortunately, things like that happen and every game has bugs, it’s just part of gaming. As you would expect, a lot of players are beginning to wonder when the Fortnite update on Xbox One bug will be fixed, but it seems there is no good answer.

Players have begun reporting the issue on the Fortnite Reddit page, but so far there haven’t been any solutions offered by the community or developers. However, with the bug being reported and Fortnite having such a big fanbase, it seems likely that Epic Games is aware of the issue and is currently working on a fix. Whenever a fix is available, it will likely be announced on the Fortnite Twitter page, so you’ll want to keep your eye on it while you wait for a fix to the Fortnite won’t update on Xbox One bug.
