With the launch of Fortnite Season 10 (X), Epic Games decided to get rid of Weekly Challenges, something no one really expected. In its place, Epic has added a new series of challenges referred to as ‘Missions.’ These are essentially the same thing as Weekly Challenges but are structured a little bit differently. However, it seems that one thing is the same, the Fortnite Battle Star will still be hidden somewhere in the world after each set of Missions has been completed. However, after completing the B.R.U.T.E. Missions, players have earned the necessary Loading Screen but are realizing that the Battle Star isn’t showing up.
Where is the Fortnite Battle Star for the B.R.U.T.E. Missions?
The Loading Screen earned for completing three of the B.R.U.T.E. Fortnite Missions reveals the hidden coordinates D2, D3, E2, and E3 on a dumpster on the right-hand side of the screen, which supposedly leads to the Week 1 Battle Star. Following these coordinates will take players just south of The Block. However, upon arriving at the coordinates, players are finding that the Battle Star isn’t there. What gives?
It seems there are two things that could have happened: either it’s a B.R.U.T.E. Mission Battle Star glitch, or the Battle Star hasn’t unlocked yet. While no one really knows which of the two it is, it seems possible that the Battle Star won’t unlock until the B.R.U.T.E. challenges expire on August 8. However, it is also possible that the Battle Star could somehow be tied to the Road Trip Mission and not the B.R.U.T.E. Missions.
The other possibility is simply that there is a glitch with the Battle Star and Epic is working to fix it. However, there hasn’t been any announcement surrounding the Battle Star not showing up. For that reason, we’re inclined to think that it hasn’t unlocked yet or is otherwise tied to the Road Trip Missions. No one really knows yet, but we will update this post when the Week 1 Battle Star location has unlocked.
UPDATE: Epic Games has acknowledged the glitched Battle Star and announced that it will be showing up with the next update.
