Tips and Tricks

Be smart about how you upgrade your vehicles. Try purchasing a new car for a different class of vehicle, for example.

Don't just stick with the single-player mode; the multiplayer mode offers you loads of ways to earn money, too.

Remember that handbraking is handled by tapping and sliding on the brake. It's useful for tight turns.

Over the course of the game, you'll earn Miles, Stars and Coins. Miles act as your reputation. The more you put into the game, the more you rank up and unlock Stars and Coins. Stars allow you to upgrade your vehicle and purchase particular skins that Coins can't. As for Coins, you'll use those to unlock new vehicles and buy specific parts. Make sure you log as many of these as you can - they add up in the long haul.

It's wise to save a few coins for necessary repairs. Your car becomes damaged over time, and will suffer performance wise unless you take care of it.

Don't be afraid to try the Daily Challenges more than once. The first time around, you may have an easy time to beat, but if you re-enter a second time, you'll find a more competitive rival to go up against. Beat him or her and you'll add a few more stars to your overall ranking.

When you tackle off-road racing, remember that the handling is a little different than a street-racing event. Dirt roads require you to do more drifting around corners. In addition, you'll fly off jumps, which are fun to go over but might require some adjustment if you're heading into a turn. Take the time to master off-road vehicles, and you'll beat these events.

It's OK if you don't get the hang of the side activities at first. The helicopter dodge event - where you must stay out of its line of sight for 20 seconds - can be tricky. Just remember to keep moving and you'll be fine. On top of that, don't be afraid to try some of the more oddball activities. After all, how often do you get to play soccer with a car?
