Raid Dens look like glowing rocks; they’re typically found out in the Wild Area, the massive open-world section of Pokemon Sword and Shield. These dens can be activated and they’ll show you which Gigantamax Pokemon is currently available. It will require you and some friends to get together in order to beet these extra beefy Pokemon.

Pokemon Sword and Shield Gigantamax Snorlax | When can you catch him?
The window to catch your Pokemon Sword and Shield Gigantamax Snorlax is going to open before the end of 2019 and stretch a ways into 2020. According to a recent trailer uploaded to the official Pokemon YouTube channel, you’ll be able to start catching Gigantamax Snorlax on December 4, 2019. The capture period will last until an unannounced time in early 2020.
It should be noted that there is a disclaimer on the video at the bottom of the screen which warns that this schedule can change.
