Respawn Entertainment has brought a new flavor to EA’s Star Wars game output; an entirely singleplayer experience with a focus on exploration, Jedi: Fallen Order is exactly what many fans have been waiting for. There’s been a nasty sting in the tail for a number of completionists, however. With that focus on exploration comes complex planet maps and tons of hidden collectibles, all of which need to be acquired in order to unlock the lucrative “Collector” achievement or trophy. Unfortunately, a Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order chest glitch can make the Collector achievement unobtainable. Here’s everything you need to know about the situation.
Is there a Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order chest glitch fix?
The Fallen Order chest glitch occurs when a player opens a collectible chest in-game and receives its contents, but the map screen doesn’t update to reflect the fact that the chest has been looted. Several potentially troublesome locations have been cited, but the most common culprits appear to be chests located in the Ice Caves area on Zeffo and the Shattered Lake on Illum.
In a thread discussing the issue on an official EA forum, an EA Respawn team member going by “brandedrespawn” confirmed that the team is aware of the problem. “We’re working on a fix for this,” begins the post, before going on to acknowledge that it wasn’t quite finished in time to make patch 1.04.
The EA representative assured that “it will be in the next [patch]” and that there’s also a simple way for those currently affected to rectify the issue. “Returning to the area with an open chest will count it,” the helpful post concludes. So, there you have it: simply ride the Jedi: Fallen Order chest glitch out until patch 1.05 drops to solve your problem.
