In short, Dreams might come to PC someday. Media Molecule is keen on a Dreams PC port, anyway, so we could see a Dreams PC release date announced in the future. If the game does release on PC, however, it’s not going to be for a while. Dreams will remain a PS4 exclusive for the foreseeable future.

Speaking to gameinudstry.biz last October, Kareem Ettouney (co-founder and art director of Media Molecule) explained that the company would like to release the game on PC and Mac, “but Dreams needs to reach a lot of people first.” Ettouney added that Media Molecule’s “goal for Dreams is” for it “to last for 20 years, and keep expanding it and keep adding to it and keep improving it.”

Before any potential PC release for Dreams, however, the game needs to “reach [an audience] and then grow.” Essentially, it sounds as though there is an idea and willing for a Dreams PC release date from the developers, but it would need to prove successful on the PlayStation to begin with, at least. As with many game decisions, though, Sony will need to give the go-ahead for a potential Dreams PC port.

For now, Dreams remains a PS4 exclusive. While it seems its developer wants to release it on PC, that won’t happen for a year or two, at least. Dreams may release on PC, but you’ll have to wait quite a long time for it to happen from the sound of it.
