Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath Edition announced, introduces campaign DLC

Thanks to leaks, we already had a good idea of who the Kombat Pack 2 characters may be. Mortal Kombat 11 was heavily datamined right after its release, revealing the existence of every fighter from the game’s first Kombat Pack before their official announcement. All of the datamined characters from KP1 ended up being correct and they sat beside other files with these kombatants:

  • Fujin
  • Sheeva
  • RoboCop

Ash Williams is heavily rumored, but given how he was in an official email (along with the pop-up message some players saw in the game last year), he’s most likely going to be in the game at some point.

Given how these names were in the same datamine (or slightly after) as the confirmed characters from KP1, they were basically already confirmed. The outlook looks even better when considering the datamined audio files that directly say Fujin’s name and Sheeva’s cameo in the story mode. All of this evidence makes for a convincing argument for these characters being in Kombat Pack 2.

Kombat Pack 2 has other rumored characters, which you can read about below, but it will be bundled with some other content, too. However, it’ll be called Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath. This includes the Soul Chamber and Deadpool stages as well as Friendship finishers and Stage Fatalities.
