PS4 7.50 update patch notes

As per usual, the update patch notes don’t include an awful lot of information. Here are the full (and short) patch notes for the 7.50 update:

  • This system software update improves system performance.

There’s no saying which facet of system performance the update actually improves, but any improvement is always welcome. The download measures in at 471 MB, so it’s relatively unsubstantial, meaning that download time shouldn’t be an issue.

ALSO: Is the PS5 DualSense controller ugly or awesome?

In order to download the 7.50 update, you must be connected to the internet. You can either download it from your console’s settings menu, or the console will prompt you to download it automatically after trying to access an online app or game.

The PS4 is enjoying its final year as a current-generation console, with Sony’s PS5 launch looming in the distance. As part of this final year, Square Enix released the highly anticipated Final Fantasy 7 Remake, which remains a PS4 exclusive at the time of this writing.
