Ranks have finally arrived in Valorant, but what do they each mean? Like with other popular competitive games, there are several different Valorant ranks spread across a variety of tiers. If you want to reach the final rank, you’ll have to progress through all the tiers beneath it. If that sounds confusing, don’t fret. Here’s a look at all Valorant ranks in order from lowest to highest.

There are eight different ranks in Valorant: Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Immortal, and Valorant. With the exception of Valorant, each of these ranks has three tiers, making for a total of 22 different tiers.

To progress from Iron all the way through Immortal or Valorant, you’ll have to progress through every tier of each rank. In other words, players start around Iron 1 and level up to Iron 3 before being promoted to Bronze 1.

As you’d probably expect, you can progress through Valorant ranks simply by playing the game in Competitive mode. However, if you actually want to get promoted, you’ll have to start winning matches. Thankfully, there is no rank decay, so you won’t get demoted if you don’t play for a while. With that said, the developers at Riot Games stated that ranks will be reset when the game makes its formal launch. Until then, ranking up should be considered little more than practice.
