Enshrouded Magic Chest Recipes Crafting

Enshrouded Magic Chest Recipe: How to Get a Magic Chest

Magic Chests are special storage containers in Enshrouded that allow you to craft items using the materials stored inside them, from anywhere within your base. This eliminates the need to manually move crafting materials between your inventory and chests, reducing inventory management hassle.

How to Craft a Magic Chest in Enshrouded?

Crafting a Magic Chest in Enshrouded allows players to store crafting materials and items inside it. Unlike a regular chest, it allows players to craft using components stored in the chest from anywhere in the base. To craft a Magic Chest in Enshrouded follow these steps:

  1. Unlocking the Carpenter: Early in the game, you will receive a quest to find the Carpenter. This quest usually comes right after inviting the Blacksmith, Hunter, and Alchemist to one of the Flame Altars. The Carpenter Vault is located at the southeast portion of the map. Players need to go through the Shroud from the starting area to get to it.
  2. Free the Carpenter: Once players find the Carpenter Vault, they need to free the Carpenter from it.
  3. Place the Carpenter: After the Carpenter is free he can be placed at one of the bases using the Summoning Staff or following the game’s prompts.
  4. Crafting the Magic Chest: The Carpenter offers crafting recipes for Magic Chests. The first one available is the Small Magic Chest. Once you craft your first Small Magic Chest, the Carpenter will offer the recipe to craft a Medium Magic Chest, and so on.
  5. Materials Required for Magic Chests:
    • Small Magic Chest (24 slots):
      • Small Chest (crafted with 6 Nails and 6 Wood Logs)
      • Shroud Core (dropped by enemies in the Shroud)
    • Medium Magic Chest (32 slots):
      • Medium Chest (crafted with 8 Nails, 12 Wood Planks, and 2 Metal Sheets)
      • 2 Shroud Cores
      • 2 Goo (obtained from the bug dust quest from the Alchemist)
    • Large Magic Chest (40 slots):
      • Large Chest (crafted with 16 Nails, 20 Wood Planks, and 3 Bronze Bars)
      • 3 Shroud Cores
      • 3 Alchemical Base (crafted with 3 Glass Shards and 1 Mercury, unlocked by exploring the Nomad Highlands)
    • Huge Magic Chest:
      • Huge Chest (crafted with 8 Nails, 12 Wood Planks, and 2 Iron Bars)
      • 4 Shroud Cores
      • 4 Shrouded Oil (found in Sun Temples, Kindle Sanctums, and towers)
  6. Using Magic Chests: Once you place a Magic Chest, materials stored inside it can be used in any manual crafting efforts across the base. Crafters can access the materials inside the Magic Chest as if they were in their inventory. However, this mechanic doesn’t impact passive workstations like the Forge or Seedbeds; materials must still be added manually to their inventory.
  7. Expanding Storage: Apart from Magic Chests, you can unlock other storage options, such as Huge Chests, Large Chests, and Medium Chests, each with different storage capacities and material requirements. Additionally, you can craft backpacks from the Hunter Craftsperson to increase your carrying capacity.
