Is there a Pokemon Go Unova Throwback Challenge 2020 event?
As of writing, there is no specific Pokemon Go Unova Throwback Challenge 2020 event. Instead, we have the Pokemon Go Throwback Challenge Champion 2020 event and special research. This is taking place between June 3 and June 8, 2020. During this event, Pokemon from the Unova region will appear more frequently than usual. It’s essentially an Unova-themed event, but it is not entirely dedicated to the region. That’s just one part of it.

Will there be a Pokemon Go Unova Throwback Challenge?
While there is no Unova Throwback Challenge in the foreseeable future (aside from the Champion event), we wouldn’t be surprised to see one at some point. Be it by the end of 2020 or (more likely) in 2021, an Unova Throwback Challenge could well happen. We’ll let you know if it is happening, of course.
Will there be a Pokemon Go Kalos Throwback Challenge?
There could be a Kalos Throwback Challenge event at some point, with Pokemon from X and Y appearing regularly and potentially primarily. Again, this could happen either by the end of 2020 or, more likely, in 2021.
Will there be a Pokemon Go Galar Throwback Challenge?
If there is a Throwback Challenge for Unova and for Kalos, there will be one for Galar eventually. We could see a Galar Throwback Challenge taking place in 2021. We’ll let you know if any of the events take place as soon as they are announced.
