Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Xbox360 Cheats

General Tips

  • Feel free to start over if you don't like your class. You will be doing plenty in the opening moments of the game, so it gives you a good idea of what to expect with your class for the rest of the game.
  • You can increase your Badass rank by doing hidden challenges. Keep an eye out for little Borderlands symbols on the ground to identify them.
  • Hold on to weapons with different elemental effects. You never know what weaknesses the next enemy around the corner might have.
  • Activate or deactivate oxygen dispensers with a shock gun.
  • You can revive teammates with oxygen instead of the traditional method, though it depletes your own oxygen supply.

Cheat Codes

Level Multiple Characters Simultaneously (Exploit)

PC users are able to level up as many as four of their own characters at the same time. After launching a game session, hit Alt+Tab to jump back to the desktop, then open the game via it's install directory (as opposed to through a service like Steam).

Choose which character you want to host your game (we recommend the character at the highest level, as you'll earn more experience and money from their kills and progression), then set the network connection to LAN and have your secondary characters join that game. So long as your computer can run 4 instances of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel at the same time, you can progress each character through as many levels as you like.

Be aware, however, that unless a character is in-game for the acquisition AND redemption of a quest, they will not gain the rewards / XP from it, and will still have to play through it themselves.

Duplicate Weapons (Exploit)

You can essentially duplicate a weapon when playing with a friend. First, save your progress. Then when you're ready, give the desired weapons to a friend and exit out of the game without saving. Your friend can save and keep the weapons, and your inventory won't be hit for the loss because you didn't save after giving away the goodies.

Easter Eggs

Dark Side of the Moon

Early in the game, in Triton Flats, you will see several prisms with light shooting out of them. You also will face a group known as the Darksiders. This is obviously a reference to the band Pink Floyd and their album, Dark Side of the Moon.

Ned Kelly

The boss named Red Belly is inspired by Australian historical outlaw Ned Kelly, who made a suit of armour identical to the one Red Belly wears (Red Belly is also a venomous Australian snake).

Waltzing Matilda

The "Jolley Swagman" side quest is based upon a classic Australian folk song, Waltzing Matilda.

Breaking Bad Reference

During the mission "Let's Build A Robot Army", while the four eyes are being reconstructed, Claptrap (if you are playing as him) will say "Yeah! Science BITCH!" once the process is complete. This line is a reference to Breaking Bad's own Jesse Pinkman.

NBA Jam Reference

In the Outlands Canyon there is a side quest you can pick up called, "Boomshackalaka." In it, you get to slam dunk while "on fire." This is a reference to the classic NBA Jam franchise.

Super Mario Bros. Room

In the mission titled "Beginning of the End," descend to the vault cave floor, which is a cylindrical room with several elevators positioned around the perimeter. If you try to ride most of them, they will carry you up to a destructive force field, which is bad. However, one of them leads to a special bonus area instead of a force shield. In that bonus area, you will find texture work modeled after the bricks in the original Super Mario Bros. game, and you can also defeat enemies for some high-quality loot.
