Cyberpunk 2077 reviews are finally being published, though all of the initial coverage relates to the PC version. As a result, PS4 and Xbox One users are questioning the Cyberpunk 2077 console performance. So, how does Cyberpunk perform on base consoles? Here’s the latest information regarding the stability of CD Projekt RED’s new RPG on PlayStation 4 and XB1 hardware.
Cyberpunk 2077 PS4 Performance | Is it stable?
Gamers have been anticipating the release of Cyberpunk for several years now, but, in the final days ahead of launch, anticipation is turning into trepidation for many. Is that concern valid, though? Or is Cyberpunk 2077 performance stable on PS4?
CD Projekt RED President, Adam Kicinski, recently stated that Cyberpunk 2077 console performance is “surprisingly good” on base machines during a company conference call. Despite this, leaked footage of the game running on base PS4 and Xbox One hardware (which has since been removed) shows sub-par console performance. As CDPR is withholding early console review codes and removing footage uploaded by members of the public, Cyberpunk console stability will only become clear when the game launches on December 10.
It’s important to note that early footage may not be representative of the final game, as the substantial Cyberpunk 2077 day one patch has not been released yet. That said, CDPR not yet delivering console review codes and embargoing bespoke gameplay capture has not helped to allay some gamers’ fears.
Whatever happens, there’s sure to be some Cyberpunk 2077 loud fan noise for users playing on consoles.
Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One Performance | Is it stable?
Developer CD Projekt RED claims that Cyberpunk 2077 console performance on Xbox One is “surprisingly good.” Contrary to that, leaked console gameplay footage paints a different picture. Although that early footage doesn’t include the day one patch, CDPR not yet providing console review codes hasn’t helped to restore faith in the game’s stability. Ultimately, players will discover how Cyberpunk 2077 runs on console when it launches on December 10.
