Cyberpunk 2077 genitals customization options are surprisingly plentiful, with the game allowing players to customize everything about their character. This includes choosing between a penis or a vagina, and even selecting V’s penis size. But does your choice in genitals change anything or even matter in-game?
Do your Cyberpunk 2077 genitals change anything?
Unlike real life, genitals have no bearing on Cyberpunk 2077‘s story and will not change anything for your character. Regardless of whether you select penis type 1, penis type 2, change the size of V’s penis or choose vagina this will not affect your journey in Night City so it does not matter which one you choose.
In fact, we noticed how Keanu Reeves’ Johnny Silverhand would still refer to one of our characters as having a small genitalia, despite said character evidently not having such an issue. It turns out that in Night City, penis size firmly doesn’t matter.
Similarly, choosing between a penis and a vagina for your Cyberpunk 2077 player-character does not affect the game. The only difference here is selecting between male and female gender options, which will see you either being referred to as “he/him” or “she/her” (there are unfortunately no non-binary options in the game).
While we haven’t completed every side-mission featured in the game, we’ve played enough to know that the genitals choice doesn’t affect any major moments in-game, and doesn’t have an impact on any of its cutscenes or story points. Characters will still refer to you the same regardless of your choice of genitals,
The only difference you’ll face in Cyberpunk 2077 when selecting different options is a cosmetic one. Considering that the CD Projekt Red RPG contains a lot of nudity, you will therefore still need to put some thought into which genitals you want, given you’ll likely be seeing a whole lot of them throughout the course of your playthrough. Similarly, an unfortunate glitch currently plaguing the game has seen characters’ penis, vagina, and breasts poking from out of their clothes, so that’s something to keep in mind when creating your own V.
