Cyberpunk 2077 PC Requirements | Ray tracing, 1080p, 4K

If you’re looking to play Cyberpunk 2077 on PC, you’re going to want a beefy rig. While the game’s minimum PC specifications aren’t exactly lofty, the best experience will be had by players able to meet the recommended requirements. This is especially true when it comes to ray tracing graphics at 1080p, 1440p, or 4K. Here’s a look at all of the Cyberpunk 2077 PC requirements.

Cyberpunk 2077 PC Requirements | Minimum and Recommended

Cyberpunk 2077 PC requirements ray tracing minimum and recommended

While you don’t need the latest hardware to run Cyberpunk 2077 on PC, you will at least want decent components. The bare minimum specifications call for an Intel i5-3570K with an Nvidia GTX 780 and 8GB of RAM. However, that’s what you need just to be able to run the game in 1080p at the lowest settings. Even then, these requirements are a considerable step up from the PC specifications running the 2018 Cyberpunk 2077 demo.

If you actually want some semblance of visual fidelity, the specifications keep getting higher and higher. For convenience, we’ve listed the minimum and recommended requirements for all the usual benchmarks below. In all cases, the game requires at least 70GB free storage space, and CD Projekt Red recommends running it from an SSD. You’ll also need a 64-bit version of Windows 10 with the latest updates installed.

1080p

Minimum (1080p at low settings):

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K or AMD FX-8310
  • GPU: Nvidia GTX 780 or Radeon RX 470
  • VRAM: 3GB
  • RAM: 8GB

Recommended (1080p at high settings):

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 3 3200G
  • GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060/GTX 1660 Super or Radeon RX 590
  • VRAM: 6GB
  • RAM: 12GB

1440p

Recommended (1440p at high settings):

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 3 3200G
  • GPU: Nvidia RTX 2060 or Radeon RX 5700 XT
  • VRAM: 6GB
  • RAM: 12GB

4K

Recommended (4K at ultra settings):

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 3 3200G
  • GPU: Nvidia RTX 2080S/RTX 3070 or Radeon RX 6800 XT
  • VRAM: 8GB
  • RAM: 16GB

Ray Tracing

Minimum (1080p at medium RT):

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 3 3200G
  • GPU: Nvidia RTX 2060
  • VRAM: 6GB
  • RAM: 16GB

Recommended (1440p at ultra RT):

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-6700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • GPU: RTX 3070
  • VRAM: 8GB
  • RAM: 16GB

Ultra RT (4K at ultra RT):

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-6700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • GPU: RTX 3080
  • VRAM: 10GB
  • RAM: 16GB

There are a few other considerations PC players need to keep in mind. First and foremost, you’ll want the latest updates to Windows 10. You’ll also want the latest version of your graphics card drivers to avoid screen tearing, clipping, or pop-in textures. Finally, to enjoy Dolby Atmos audio, you’ll need a motherboard or sound card that supports it.

All things considered, the Cyberpunk 2077 PC requirements will rule out many systems. Components that were powerful just a few years ago will be ill-equipped to handle the game at anything beyond 1080p with high settings. Even then, the system may struggle to maintain 60fps. As is always the case, the more power you have on tap, the better.
