Since many fans discovered the series by playing Nier: Automata on Xbox Game Pass for console and PC, subscribers are now wondering if the remaster is getting the same treatment. Is Nier Replicant on Game Pass for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One?
Nier Replicant is available to download on Xbox Series X, Series S, and Xbox One devices via the Microsoft Store. Currently, there is no Nier Replicant ver.1.22 Game Pass release on consoles.
Neither Microsoft nor Square Enix has made any announcements regarding a Nier Replicant Xbox Game Pass release at this time. Since the Nier: Automata – Become As Gods Edition came to Game Pass for console at launch, there’s a decent chance that Replicant will eventually hit the service as well.
Head of Xbox Phil Spencer is keen to increase the reach of the Xbox brand in Japan, and adding Japanese games to the Game Pass catalog is one way of doing so. Following the success of Automata, Nier Replicant could be high on Spencer’s hitlist. Past precedent also shows that Square Enix is happy to work with Microsoft on achieving these ends.
Is Nier Replicant on Game Pass for PC?
Nier Replicant ver.1.22 is available to download on PC via Steam. At the time of writing, there is no Windows 10 Store version and there are no known plans for a Nier Replicant Game Pass PC release.
Nier: Automata recently joined the Game Pass for PC catalog, following in the footsteps of the Xbox version, so there is hope for a future XGP launch.
