Aliens Fireteam Elite Switch release date: Is it coming to Switch?

Is there an Aliens Fireteam Elite Switch release date? The game previously known as Aliens: Fireteam has a release date of August for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, but is Aliens: Fireteam Elite coming to Switch? Other co-op games such as Zombie Army Trilogy have come to Switch, but what about the new Aliens game on Nintendo Switch? Let’s have a look.

Is Aliens: Fireteam Elite coming to Switch?

Aliens Fireteam Elite Switch release date

Aliens: Fireteam Elite has a release date of August 24, 2021, on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, but sadly as of right now there are no announced plans to bring the latest Aliens game to Nintendo Switch.

The confirmed summer release date was announced yesterday alongside the game’s pre-order trailer, as well as the news of the title change to Aliens: Fireteam Elite.

There has been no reason given by developer Cold Iron Studios why the game isn’t coming to Switch, but it could conceivably come to Nintendo’s platform at a later date, perhaps if the rumors of a Switch Pro prove to be accurate — even if it failed to appear at Nintendo’s E3 Direct as predicted, in fact the exact opposite happened. The last Aliens game released was actually the excellent Switch version of Alien: Isolation, and the similar co-op game World War Z eventually turned up too, so it’s possible Fireteam Elite could join it.

Nevertheless, Aliens: Fireteam Elite joins a number of games that should have Switch versions but nothing has yet been confirmed. Despite Zombie Army Trilogy coming to Switch, recent sequel Zombie Army 4 still hasn’t joined it. The first Jurassic World Evolution got a Complete Edition on Switch, but as of writing Jurassic World Evolution 2 has not been confirmed for a similar release, which is certainly disappointing for fans of the first game.
