Many players are immediately taken with The Ascent, prompting questions about more cyberpunk action to come. But, are brand-new downloadable contents, updates, and patches in the works? Here’s the need-to-know info on The Ascent DLC roadmap, including all available and upcoming new content.

The Ascent features Early Adopter DLC for players that purchase the game within its first week on sale via Steam for PC.

Currently, The Ascent downloadable content is exclusive to the Steam platform on PC. Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10 players don’t have access to the Early Adopter Bonus Content pack via Game Pass or direct purchase of the game. It’s possible that the items will release on these platforms in the future, following the expiry of The Ascent Steam exclusive DLC deal.
Beyond The Ascent launch day DLC, there is no downloadable content roadmap. If the game does well (early signs look promising), it’s possible that Neon Giant and Curve Digital will release new content in time. For now, however, there is no The Ascent post-launch content roadmap detailing update plans.
While The Ascent DLC is a distinct possibility for the future, right now the developers are probably focusing on more pressing matters. Unfortunately, there’s an online co-op glitch preventing some users from accessing multiplayer features. Additionally, PC players are already using cheat engines to hack The Ascent. Once all that’s sorted, the devs might want to turn their attention to making a Nintendo Switch version.
In other news, gamers should see plenty of Halo Infinite multiplayer gameplay this weekend. Selected players already have their beta invites — though not everyone is happy with the selection process — and there are no streaming restrictions. Elsewhere in games, Activision Blizzard staff recently went on strike to protest the company.
