Aliens Fireteam Elite Door Won't Open bug fix

To fix the Aliens: Fireteam Elite door won’t open bug, players must do the following:

  • Ensure all enemies are dead.
    • Sometimes an alien can get stuck or lost and require hunting down. Be sure to wipe out all enemies to continue through the door.
  • Retry the mission.
    • As frustrating as it is, there’s no clear way of opening the door once it has bugged out. This does mean the level will need to be restarted.
  • Slow down.
    • While it may be tempting to race through the enemy waves, slowing down and taking them out as they appear provides the best chance of progressing without issue.
  • Play with humans in co-op.
    • GameRevolution has only come across this bug while playing alone with bots filling in for teammates. Try and grab a friend or two for the problematic mission, at least.

The above fixes should help as a workaround for the missions with doors capable of bugging and not opening. This should help players progress to the next stage and leave the pesky doors far behind. However, the best scenario would be for the developer to roll out an official fix for this issue.

GameRevolution has reached out to make sure the development team is aware of the problem.
