Ghost of Tsushima Bowing Signs Hidden Altars: How to get the Honor the Unseen trophy

Throughout Ghost of Tsushima, players will find signs that indicate they should bow before it. Unfortunately, these bowing signs don’t give players an indicator as to what’s supposed to happen when they bow, so it can be confusing to figure out what exactly is happening. These signs mark hidden altars, and players must find 10 of them to earn The Honor the Unseen trophy.

What are the bowing signs for in Ghost of Tsushima?

Ghost of Tsushima Bowing Sign

The bowing signs in Ghost of Tsushima mark hidden altars. If players find at least 10 of these altars, then they’ll get The Honor the Unseen trophy.

These altars can typically be found near other points of interest. In particular, Shinto Shrines tend to be located near them. However, a few of them are in relatively obscure locations and will be challenging to find if players don’t know where to look.

The locations for the hidden altars are:

  • Cloud Ridge Shrine (2)
  • Kaneda Castle beach
  • Keichi Fishing Village dock
  • Kaneda Inlet Pillar of Honor
  • Komatsu Forge Cemetary
  • Old Kanazawa Marsh dock
  • Old Kanazawa Marsh Pillar of Honor
  • Omi Lake (2)
  • Southwest of Lady Sanjo’s Bridge
  • Southwest of Yochi’s Slope
  • Statue east of Numanaka Inn
  • Tadayori’s Rest
  • Traveler’s Rest dock
  • Tree in Guardian’s Ridge
  • Umugi Cove Boardwalk

Additionally, there are two locations that count as hidden altars that don’t have bowing signs:

When players bow in the correct location near a hidden altar, a visual indicator will confirm the action. These effects can be:

  • Leaves floating around.
  • Fish Jumping.
  • Insects fly around Jin.
  • Crabs skitter about
  • Frogs jump around from nowhere.
  • Birds landing on statues.

These small visual cues are the only confirmation players will get that they’ve activated a hidden shrine in Ghost of Tsushima. Their locations won’t be marked on the map and there’s no entry in the collection screen to keep track of them.
