Marvel's Midnight Suns Wanda

Is Wanda Maximoff in Marvel’s Midnight Suns?

Will there be a Marvel’s Midnight Suns Wanda Maximoff appearance? The new Marvel game from XCOM: Enemy Unknown and Civilization developer Firaxis got its first big gameplay reveal yesterday after being revealed at Gamescom last month, but despite being based around magic and the dark arts, Marvel’s biggest magic user after Doctor Strange currently isn’t revealed for the game. Is Scarlet Witch in Marvel’s Midnight Suns?

Marvel’s Midnight Suns Wanda Maximoff: Will Scarlet Witch appear?

Marvel's Midnight Suns Wanda

It is entirely possible that Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch will appear in Marvel’s Midnight Suns.

She has not yet been confirmed, however in the game’s gameplay reveal stream during the section on customization options for the player’s The Hunter character, Wanda’s iconic Scarlet Witch mask is shown as being an equipable item. Furthermore, The Hunter character specifically mentions Wanda during a discussion with the Abbey’s mysterious Caretaker.

Beyond that, thematically Wanda is a perfect fit for Marvel’s Midnight Suns. After Doctor Strange, she is the most famous and powerful magic user in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Wanda was the star of the first-ever Disney Plus MCU show, WandaVision, which leads directly into Wanda’s appearance in next year’s Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness — which comes out at the same time as Marvel’s Midnight Suns, in March 2022.

Scarlet Witch is arguably a far better fit for Marvel’s Midnight Suns than Iron Man, Captain America, or even Wolverine — speaking of whom, Wanda could easily be classified as a mutant once again in the game as it doesn’t have any direct ties to the MCU.

Presumably more characters will be revealed for Marvel’s Midnight Suns as the game gets closer to its release date, so it’s likely fans will get to play with more heroes and take on the demonic armies of the main villain Lilith.

Elsewhere in Marvel media, Doctor Strange recently got his own turn as a demon in the latest episode of What If?, and Marvel’s latest movie Shang-Chi is out tomorrow and has a lot of magical use.
