Deathloop how to kill Wenjie The Complex

Deathloop: How to kill all Wenjie copies in The Complex

Once players progress far enough in Deathloop, they’ll reach a point where they can begin killing visionaries and attempt to break the loop. The game heavily implies that Wenjie is the first visionary the player should take down, but they’ll likely find themselves unable to kill all the Wenjie copies when they get there. Fortunately, there’s an easy way to circumvent Wenjie’s power located elsewhere.

Deathloop Kill Wenjie copies in The Complex

Wenjie’s final final resting place won’t be in The Complex, but players will have to take her down there first to gain the ability to infuse gear with Residuum and retain it through multiple loops. Unfortunately, there are 15 of her players have to take down to do so (though a weapon found in the same location does a good job of chewing through them).

While it’s possible to kill all 15 Wenjie copies without any special abilities, there’s a way to make it substantially easier. Players can head to Karl’s Bay at the start of a new day and kill Harriet to get the Nexus Slab. The Nexus power allows Cole to chain together several enemies, which links their fate. Kill one enemy that’s chained to another, and they both die. This is obviously a perfect weapon for taking down Wenjie in Deathloop.

Unfortunately, since they’re spread throughout the complex, players can’t connect all 15 Wenjie copies together at once. However, those that are sneaky enough can wait until Wenjies are clustered in an area and eliminate all of them at once. Done correctly, the Wenjie copies in the other parts of the lab won’t be alerted.

One of the trophies in Deathloop, Quantum Solution, requires players to kill all 15 Wenjie copies in 90 seconds. This is easy enough if Cole has access to Nexus, and players scout ahead and confirm the locations of all the copies in advance.

Once Wenjie’s last copy goes down, Cole can gain the ability to use Residuum. However, this won’t be the area where Wenjie dies for good. Players will have to put together the clues to find out where her assassination best fits into their schedule.
