The game’s multiplayer launched a month early this week, with players diving into competitive matches. However, does it contain aim assist to help players with less accurate targeting? Is there Halo Infinite aim assist on PC?
Simply put, no. There’s no aim assist built into the PC version of Halo Infinite.
This means that if you’re using a mouse and keyboard to control your Spartan of choice, it’s all down to the steadiness of your aim. You won’t get any help pointing at enemy players, or assistance in ensuring your shots are steady. To combat the lack of PC this feature, a lot of Halo Infinite players are plugging in an external controller. In other FPS games, this would give you the chance to alter aiming accuracy features, but that’s not the case in Halo Infinite.
Yes, several Reddit users confirm that they’re still feeling no assist, despite plugging controllers into their PC. As such, it seems that you won’t be able to get any help aiming if you’re playing Halo Infinite on PC.
Is there Halo Infinite aim assist on console?
On the other hand, Halo Infinite players on Xbox One and Series X/S do have access to this feature. You’ll be able to tweak its strength in the menus, either having more help pointing at targets, or less.
Interestingly, that works a dream for console players using controllers, while PC controller users are totally without it. It’s something the Halo Infinite community isn’t totally happy about, either. This disparity could easily give console players the advantage, and players are taking notice:
