What If? Season 2: Release date, time, how to watch

What is the What If? season 2 release date? The explosive finale of the first season brought together the Guardians of the Multiverse, and Marvel has confirmed that a second season of the first animated MCU anthology show is definitely coming. Here is everything known about the release date, the exact release time, and how to watch What If? season 2.

What is the What If? Season 2 release date and time?

what if season 2 release date

What If? season 2 will either release in late 2022 or 2023 on Disney Plus, although the release time should still be 12:01 AM PT/3:01 AM ET/8:01 AM GMT, the same time as other Disney Plus shows.

The specific release date has not been confirmed but Disney/Marvel will probably release the exact details later this year.

The next Marvel shows coming in 2022 will be Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, and She-Hulk, but as Ms. Marvel won’t launch until summer and 2021 managed five MCU shows in the same time period that likely only leaves two potential shows launching this year. The return of What If? could easily be one but it does depend on how far along the second season is, as animation can take a long time. The only confirmed returning character is Captain Carter from episode 1, and with the evil Doctor Strange from the show’s best episode seemingly entering live-action in this May’s Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, it seems unlikely he will be back.

How to watch What If? Season 2

What If? season 2 will only air on the Disney Plus streaming service and will not be available on any other services such as HBO Max, Netflix, or Amazon — just like the first season. The release time will be simultaneous across all regions, meaning no one will be left behind and at the risk of seeing spoilers.

What If? season 2 will launch on Disney Plus.
