Fortnite ‘Eliminate IO Forces’ Not Working Quest Fix

Fortnite “eliminate IO forces” is not working for some players. The Fortnite Week 7 quest was recently added as part of this week’s big 19.20 content update but many players are having trouble completing it, despite the challenge seemingly being quite simple. Is there a Fortnite “eliminate IO forces” quest fix or workaround, or is the challenge currently bugged with no way to complete it? Alternatively, is there something needed to complete it?

Is there a Fortnite ‘eliminate IO Forces’ quest not working fix?

Fortnite 'Eliminate IO Forces' Not Working

To fix the Fortnite “eliminate IO forces” Week 7 Season quest, players have to defeat three IO soldiers but it is possible this has been done previously and the reward has already been given so it does not need to be completed again. The quest is bugged but only in that it is duplicated several times on the Quests screen and cannot be completed more than once. If Fortnite is showing the quest several times but one of them is ticked, that means the player has already completed the challenge. It is likely the duplicate quests will get patched out soon.

If the player hasn’t completed “eliminate IO forces” they need to head to one of three dig sites on the map and do so:

  • Directly north of the Daily Bugle and east of Sleepy Sound.
  • East of Logjam Lumberyard and a little northwest of Shifty Shafts.
  • Southeast of Greasy Grove, in the small remaining desert area that’s cut off by the river.

Grab a gun before heading to the actual dig site as the IO guards will attack as soon as they spot the player. There should be several small locations or chest areas near each location.

In more Fortnite news, it’s looking like there will be a tie-in with the Uncharted movie later this month, and it’s rumored that the next season could be Star Wars-themed.
