Meet Your Maker Closed Playtest

Meet Your Maker Closed Playtest Release Date: How to Sign Up

Behaviour Interactive’s new post-apocalyptic first-person building-and-raiding game Meet Your Maker was revealed today and will be getting a closed playtest. The release date for the closed playtest on PC is as soon as the end of this month and here are the steps you can take to sign up to apply for a spot right now.

How to sign up for the Meet Your Maker closed playtest

The Meet Your Maker closed playtest will begin on August 23 exclusively on Steam. Those wishing to sign up for a spot in the playtest need to head over to Behaviour Interactive’s website and follow these steps:

  1. Create a Behaviour Interactive account.
  2. Once logged in, click on the logo for Meet You Maker closed playtest registration in the Your Games section
  3. Click on the Sign Up to the Closed Playtest button
  4. Answer all of the survey questions
  5. Agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy

The playtest will last for several weeks but players will not be able to share any of the content they see. Those selected for the playtest will need to sign an NDA they receive via email before linking their Steam account and receiving their playtest build. Don’t worry if you’re not selected for the August 23 start date as more players will be added every week as the playtest progresses.

Players assume the role of a Custodian of the Chimera tasked with saving life on Earth. Pure Genetic Material, known as Genmat, is a valued resource and you need to build and fortify Outposts filled with traps and guards to be able to extract and protect your stockpile. However, other players will be attempting to raid your outpost to steal your stash, but you can always do the same to them. While the playtest will only be running on PC, the game will be released on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam when it launches in 2023.

In today’s news, next week’s Pokemon Go Bug Out! event will mark the in-game debut of three Pokemon. Elsewhere, today’s Steam Deck client update added a hot weather temperature warning for when the device begins to overheat.
