Splatoon 3 change ink hair color

In Splatoon 3 Can You Change Hair or Ink Color?

You can’t change your hair or ink color in Splatoon 3, at least not manually. Instead, your character’s color changes at random at the beginning of each match. We haven’t discovered any particular pattern to them appearing, so we assume it’s an entirely random roll of the dice.

Can you change ink or hair color in Splatoon 3?

There are two ways to change your ink and hair color in Splatoon 3. You can either start a multiplayer match or exit the game and relaunch it. Both of these things trigger a color change, but the results seem to be completely random.

If Splatoon 3 works the same way the first two do, there are specific color match-ups in a rotation. So, when you join a game, the two sides will always have contrasting colors like yellow vs. purple. You’ll never see something like plum vs. dark purple that would be hard for some people to tell apart.

The only time that you are guaranteed to get a particular color is during a Splatfest. During those events, your color is predetermined by which team you’ve chosen.

Hopefully, we’ll be able to choose our color outside of a match at some point. For now, you’ll just have to keep rolling the dice until you get the one you want.
