Splatoon 3 XP Bug Fix

Splatoon 3: Not Getting XP After Match Bug Fix

Sometimes you might notice you’ll finish a match in Splatoon 3 and not get the XP you earned. This bug isn’t terribly common, but it isn’t very pleasant when it occurs, especially when you’re about to level up. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like there’s a permanent fix for this issue right now, but there is a way to avoid it.

How to fix not getting XP after match in Splatoon 3

We were only affected by the XP glitch in Splatoon 3 once so far. We completed a match right on the hour as the maps were changing. Unfortunately, it seems like the map update announcement has a chance to override your post-game stats if things line up just right. If this happens, you won’t get your XP or any other rewards for completing a match.

The only way to avoid the XP bug entirely is to avoid starting a match around three minutes before the map change is scheduled to happen. Then, you don’t have to worry about the announcement pre-empting your match results.

Since this can only feasibly happen once an hour, you shouldn’t be affected by it too often. It’s frustrating for sure, but relatively benign as far as bugs go. We wouldn’t be surprised if it’s patched out quickly.
