This week, Netflix has once again hit it out of the park when it comes to releasing new films and TV shows. Whether you like true crime documentaries, comedy, cookery shows, or something else altogether, there is a new addition coming to the streaming platform for everybody. Here are all of the new films and TV shows coming to Netflix between September 19 and September 25.
What is coming to Netflix this week (September 19-25)?
True crime junkies will get their fix from Netflix this week, as Fortune Seller: A TV Scam debuts. Filled with references to pop culture, it explores the journey of Wanna Marchi and Stefania Nobile who went from selling controversial slimming cream, to being convicted as con artists. There’s also The Real Bling Ring: Hollywood Heist, which will explore the real truth behind the notorious heists that have been the focus of both a reality series and a major movie. Here, the culprits come forward after serving their time behind bars, opening up about their invasions of homes across Hollywood.
Those who prefer their true crime viewing to be adaptations based on factual events, will get to see what Ryan Murphy has cooked up with Evan Peters, as DAHMER – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story premieres. Peters plays the titular serial killer, and serves as a producer alongside Murphy in a show that will be largely told from the point of view of Dahmer’s victims, as well as the police incompetence that allowed the killer to be active for multiple years.
If you’re looking for a gripping new film to watch, then you will want to check out The Perfumier. It centers around a female detective who has lost her sense of smell. After stealing a potion from a deranged perfume maker who has no trouble killing to keep himself on top, she later joins forces with him in a bid to get her smell back. A strange premise for sure, but a film that will undoubtedly be unlike anything you’ve seen before.
