Dead Space Remake 1.04 Update Patch Notes

Dead Space Remake 1.04 Update Patch Notes for Today, February 3

The Dead Space remake launched last week to massive critical acclaim. However, it isn’t without its issues. The developers, Motive Studio, have been pretty consistent in patching the game so far, to the point that it even works on Steam Deck, and today, February 3, there’s a Dead Space Remake 1.04 Update Patch that seemingly fixes many issues. Here are the Dead Space Remake 1.04 patch notes.

Dead Space Remake 1.04 patch notes

  • Added performance improvements
  • Addressed UI Issues
  • Addressed various stuttering and lag issues
  • Added general stability fixes
  • Other minor fixes
  • VRS now toggleable

The above list of patch notes contains changes and improvements observed by the community. Fans are still waiting for the official list from the developer.

As previously mentioned though, it’s not all sunshine and roses over in the Dead Space remake. Reddit user No-Eyed had the following to say:

“Still seems to be something seriously wrong with how the game is loading in new assets. Any time I get into a cutscene the game drops down to low single-digit FPS and stays there along with horrible spluttering audio until the cutscene completes, kind of ruins the mood. Hoping they can fix whatever is going on, the game mostly performs fine otherwise.”

Another user, ElodinBlackClock, had another issue:

“So I downloaded the new patch, and now my mission log and map are empty… on chapter 11, tried reloading previous saves, nothing works. Medical tram station outside the security station is locked down again, was given the option to override it at the panel and it doesn’t do anything.”
