Hogwarts Legacy How to Unlock Brooms: When Do You Get To Fly a Broomstick?

You unlock brooms in Hogwarts Legacy about 8-10 hours into the game. However, you can’t miss it since the quest where you learn how to fly a broomstick is part of the main story. Fortunately, riding a broom is just as cool as you’d think it would be, so the wait is worth it.

You won’t unlock your broom in Hogwarts Legacy until around 8-10 hours into the game. You’ll receive a main quest called “Flying Class,” and in it, Madam Kogawa will teach you the basics of flying. Afterward, you can head to Spintwitches in Hogsmeade and purchase a broom for 600 gold.

Unfortunately, there’s no way to obtain a broom for free in Hogwarts Legacy. However, you should have 600 gold to spare at this point in the game. If you’ve spent all your money, you can search around for an eye chest you haven’t opened yet (just one will get you most of the way there) or sell some gear.

All brooms in Hogwarts Legacy have the same performance, so just pick the one you think looks best. Fortunately, any upgrades you purchase affect all of them. So, you can think of the different models of broomsticks as skins.
