You Season 4 Part 1 is available to stream now on Netflix, bringing along with the series’ return, plenty of death and destruction. There is so much violence in the first five episodes of Season 4, that it may be a little difficult to keep up with just who has been killed. If you’re wondering who dies in You Season 4 Part 1, here is everybody who won’t make it to Part 2 alive.
Every character who dies in Netflix’s You Season 4 Part 1
- Malcolm, a literature professor
- Simon, an up-and-coming artist
- Vic, the personal bodyguard to Lady Phoebe and Adam
- Gemma, an Oxford socialite
The first person to die in You Season 4 is Malcolm. Despite being the person that introduces Joe to his accidental new group of friends, he ends up stabbed and left to bleed out on Joe’s apartment table. Immediately, audiences ask themselves if Joe killed Malcolm, before he disposes of the body and begins to receive anonymous texts. Someone else is responsible, and Joe makes it his mission to find out who.
Simon is next to fall, murdered by the person that the media is referring to as the “Eat the Rich” Killer. While Joe waited outside Simon’s gallery showcase to try and garner clues as to the killer’s identity, he fell asleep, allowing the murderer to get in and out undetected.
Joe isn’t the only person trying to identify the “Eat the Rich” Killer. Vic, personal bodyguard to Lady Phoebe and Adam, has had his suspicions about Joe since he met him. Upon following him to Malcolm’s crypt, he finds the deceased’s ring on Joe’s person, jumping to the conclusion that Joe must be the killer. A struggle ensues, which results in Joe killing Vic, before burying him alongside Simon’s gold-plated casket.
The final victim in You Season 4 Part 1 is Gemma. After spending much of her time gloating about her privilege and wealth, she is found dead by Kate and Joe, the latter of whom believes that Kate may be the “Eat the Rich” Killer for a short time. They dispose of the body, before the real killer is unmasked, and asks Joe to frame someone else for the murders.
While there are just four major deaths in You Season 4 Part 1, we can expect more to come. You Season 4 Part 2 is available from March 9, 2023.
