Diablo 4 Season 1 Should You Skip Campaign

Diablo 4 Season 1: Should You Skip Campaign?

With Diablo 4 Season 1 upon us, many players are asking whether they should skip the campaign. This question is mainly for players who have finished the story with one character made on the Eternal server, but have not yet made an alternate character or a new seasonal character. The option to skip the campaign will appear after you finish choosing your new character’s class and head to the Finalize tab. Here’s whether you should choose to skip the campaign for Diablo 4 Season 1.

The only cases where you may want to repeat the campaign is if you want to experience the story again or if you want to earn some particular items like the Mother’s Embrace ring for beating the game. But you can always watch the cutscenes for the main story on YouTube if you need a refresher, and you can earn the Mother’s Embrace ring as a random drop.

Otherwise, choosing to skip the campaign for a seasonal character will simply place you in Kyovashad once again. You can immediately talk to an NPC named Vyrtan to the left of the Kyovashad waypoint to initiate the seasonal storyline that involves Malignant Hearts and the spreading corruption across Sanctuary.

As clarified earlier, some progress will carry over to your seasonal campaign. This includes all of the renown from map exploration and the Altars of Lilith. Hopefully, you’ve had the chance to collect of this from your regular campaign, now that both of these are shared across accounts. However, you’ll still need to complete all side quests and strongholds, and find all of the minor waypoints along the way.

If you’re having trouble figuring out what kind of character you should make for Season 1, here’s our selection for the best class and best build after the controversial 1.1 update.
