You can get one-shot snipers in Warzone 2 with the new Explosive Ammo attachment. Before now, the devs avoided giving sniper rifles the ability to OHK for balancing. However, with Season 3, the gloves are off, and there are three one-hit kill sniper rifles in Warzone 2 now.
How to get Explosive Ammunition for one-shot snipers in Warzone 2
You’ll need to get the Explosive Ammunition attachment if you want a one-shot sniper rifle in Warzone 2. There are three guns that can equip Explosive Ammo, and you’ll need to level them up to get the attachment:
- FJX Imperium – .408 Mag Explosive: Level 26
- MCPR-300 – .300 Mag Explosive: Level 29
- Victus XMR – .50 Cal Explosive: Level 23
Explosive Ammo makes these rifles into one-shot snipers in Warzone 2, but only with a headshot. Body shots still take multiple hits to kill. The attachment also increases damage range by 40%. However, there is a downside to it as well. Explosive Ammo also decreases bullet velocity by 40%. So, you’ll either need to lead your shots more or equip attachments that increase bullet velocity.
With the addition of one-shot snipers to the meta will obviously change. Expect to see a lot of bolt-action loadouts for the foreseeable future.
