Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Impa Missing Kakariko Village

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Impa Missing From Kakariko Village After Dragon’s Tears Geoglyphs Quest

Impa’s location in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is rather elusive after finishing the main Dragon’s Tears quest. The confusion stems from her stating that she will be heading back to Kakariko Village after you find every last Dragon Tear. But if you search through the town, Impa seems to be missing, leading many players to ask where she went or what they need to do for her to show up. Here’s what you need to do to get Impa to reappear in Kakariko Village.

Where is Impa after getting every Dragon’s Tear?

To get Impa to appear in Kakariko Village after the Dragon’s Tear quest, you need to finish several quests that involve the main storyline.

From information we’ve gathered, you need to first get through enough of the main story that you have Link chase Zelda through Hyrule Castle and then have a fight with Phantom Ganon. After speaking with Purah, you then need to head back to Kakariko Village and finish the questline involving the ring ruins. Then, you’ll need to acquire the vow with the fifth sage. After you finish these tasks, Impa should finally no longer be missing and will appear upstairs at her house in town.

While you are finding all the geoglyphs for the Dragon’s Tear quest, Impa can usually be found either near the area of a geoglyph or at the Forbidden Temple. After finishing the quest, she will then say that she’s heading back to Kakariko Village to study some ancient texts, which is the source of the confusion. The game doesn’t tell you that she doesn’t just pop up back at Kakariko, and you need to complete a lot of tasks before she actually appears where she says she would. Hopefully, this guide helps to save you a lot of time wondering what to do.
