Starfield can you re-enter character customization

Starfield: Can I Re-Enter Character Creation After Starting?

Starfield is a long game, and you may want to re-enter character creation. Some recent games have launched without this option, so you may be concerned that you’re stuck with the same look for your entire voyage. Luckily, that’s not the case.

Can I re-enter character creation in Starfield after starting the game?

Fortunately, you can re-enter character creation in Starfield. You’ll have to deal with your initial settings for a bit before you gain the ability to change your character’s looks, but the wait isn’t long.

You can enter the character creator again in Starfield by visiting Enhance. Here, for a 500 credit fee, you’ll be able to adjust your avatar’s skin tone, body type, gender, facial features, and walking style.

More Starfield

These are the locations we’ve found an Enhance so far:

  • Alpha Centauri System, Jemison, New Atlantis, Commercial District
  • Volii System, Volii Alpha, Neon, Neon Core
  • Cheyenne System, Akila, Akila City

However, it’s a big game, so there could be others out there.

There is a minor downside to using Enhance, though. Whether it’s on purpose or an oversight, you can’t choose from the list of pre-made template avatars like you can during initial character creation. So, if you want to change your look drastically, you will have to work the sliders quite a bit.

There are no other negatives to using Enhance. Surprisingly, none of your companions will comment on your new look, and none of the cosmetic options have an effect on gameplay. So, as long as you have a spare 500 credits, you can choose a new you as many times as you want with no ill effects.

Fortunately, Starfield prioritizes player choice, ensuring you’re not permanently tied to your initial character design. Explore, experiment, and embrace the vast customization options to truly make the character your own in this expansive universe.
