Starborn Mark 1 Spacesuit Glitch Bug Helmet Pack Glass Case Master Lock

Starfield Mark 1 Spacesuit Glitch: How to Find Crack in Space Suit Case Bug

A Starfield Mark 1 Spacesuit glitch is allowing players to take the space suit for free from the basement of The Lodge. Usually, this rare suit is locked behind a glass case with a Master lock, forcing you to increase your Security skill to its third rank just to access the case. But due to a bug, you can bypass this lock altogether and grab the spacesuit by carefully finding a hole in the case. Here’s how to find this crack in the glass case and grab the powerful and rare Mark 1 Spacesuit right at the start of Starfield.

How to find and use Starfield Mark 1 Spacesuit glitch

The Mark 1 Spacesuit glitch is done by carefully going up and down the vertical seam that goes along the hinge of the glass case until the Mannequin is highlighted.

We were able to test this bug and can confirm that this works. We found the glitch by crouching as close as possible to the hinge closest to the door handle of the glass case. Then we slowly went up and down the metal hinge, moving a little bit left and right if we weren’t able to find the crack on the vertical pass, until the marker highlights the Mannequin instead of the locked door (as noted in the picture above). If you’re having trouble finding the crack, we recommend lowering the sensitivity of your controller.

At that point, you can then transfer the items from the mannequin to obtain the Mark 1 Spacesuit, Helmet, and Pack. The items only have standard rarity, but they are still very powerful in terms of resistances. The Mark 1 Spacesuit (or Mark I Spacesuit) has 120 PHYS, 136 ENGY, and 128 EM resistance, with an extra 20 Thermal, 30 Corrosive, and 10 Radiation resistance. The Mark 1 Pack has 66 PHYS, 64 ENGY, and 68 EM resistance, while the Helmet has the same stats.

So equipped altogether, the Mark 1 set will likely be the strongest combination you’ll get for the majority of the game until you reach new game plus. And even then, this set is amazing and it looks very cool.

We’re not sure when this glitch will be patched, but we believe Bethesda is well aware of the issue and will be patching this soon. So we recommend that you grab this spacesuit for free now before they hotfix this.

Starfield Mark 1 Spacesuit Glitch FAQ

Q: What is the Starfield Mark 1 Spacesuit glitch?

A: The Starfield Mark 1 Spacesuit glitch lets players snag the usually locked Mark 1 Spacesuit for free from The Lodge’s basement. Instead of unlocking a Master lock, which requires a high Security skill, players can exploit a flaw in the glass case to get the spacesuit early in the game.

Q: How can I access the Mark 1 Spacesuit using this glitch?

A: To use the glitch, crouch near the hinge closest to the door handle of the glass case in The Lodge’s basement. Slowly move along the vertical seam of the hinge until the Mannequin inside is highlighted, bypassing the locked door. If you struggle, try adjusting your controller’s sensitivity. Once highlighted, you can transfer the Mark 1 Spacesuit, Helmet, and Pack from the mannequin.

Q: Will Bethesda fix the Starfield Mark 1 Spacesuit glitch?

A: While Bethesda is likely aware of the glitch, we’re uncertain when it will be patched. We advise grabbing the spacesuit quickly before a potential hotfix is implemented.
