Starfield Starborn Guardian Starship Max Upgrade Stats

Starfield Starborn Guardian Starship: How to Max Upgrade Starborn Ship

The Starfield Starborn Guardian starship is one of the few things that you get to keep in a new playthrough. Every time you re-enter new game plus, your Starborn Guardian ship will gain an upgrade, gaining a slight boost in stats. This works in a very similar fashion to the Starborn Spacesuit, though reaching max stats with the Starborn starship won’t take as long. Here’s how to max upgrade the Starborn Guardian in Starfield.

How to max upgrade the Starfield Starborn Guardian starship

To max upgrade the Starborn Guardian starship, you need to start new game plus six times.

Each time you finish the main story and enter NG+, your Starborn Guardian starship will get a random upgrade to one or several of its stats. This is usually a combination of the ship’s maximum shield, the hit points of the hull, the power of its solar weapon (indicated as SOL in the starship stats page), and the strength of the ship’s torpedo weapon (indicated as TOR).

By the time you earn the Starborn Guardian VI, it should have around a base shield of 1,100, a hull with about 1250 hit points, 33 SOL, and 110 TOR. These stats of course will be affected by various Tech skills that can increase overall shield strength and weapon attacks for the ship.

As for fixed stats, the Starborn Guardian has about a capacity of 1500 fuel, about 950 cargo capacity (with 150 shielded capacity), a class A reactor with 22 power, a maximum crew size of 5 members, and a 30 LY grav jump. The ship cannot be upgraded using additional ship parts.

All of these stats might change with future DLC, which might extend the game’s new game plus feature further. That said, without additional content, you might be better off saving credits for a class C starship which might have better overall stats that the Starborn Guardian ship once you’ve upgraded it with all of the ship parts in the game. Just remember, though, that you can’t take a regular ship with you into new game plus.
