The Payday 3 roadmap for the remainder of 2023 and the majority of 2024 has been revealed. After about a week of severe matchmaking issues due to the servers being incapable of handling the high number of players during launch, Starbreeze has not only resolved the problems but has revealed their plans for patches and fixes for the rest of the year. Combining this with their prior reveal for the game’s DLC schedule, we have quite a lot of heists and other content scheduled for Year 1. Here’s what to expect in the roadmap for Payday 3 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

What is the Payday 3 roadmap and DLC schedule?

The following is a chronological roadmap for all of the DLC and content that is coming to the game in 2023 and 2024:

  • Early October 2023 – Over 200 quality-of-life improvements for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S
  • Late October 2023 or Early November 2023 – More quality-of-life improvements, as well as new content and functionality
  • November 2023 – Also more quality-of-life improvements, as well as new content and functionality
  • Winter 2023 – “Syntax Error” DLC (those with the Silver or Gold Edition of the game will get this included
  • Spring 2024 – “Boys in Blue” DLC
  • Summer 2024 – “The Land of the Free” DLC
  • Fall 2024 – “Fear and Greed” DLC

Each of the DLC entries in the latter half of the roadmap will come with a heist of its own that will tack onto the storyline of the game.

In addition, Starbreeze will be bringing additional content in the form of seasonal events, more playable characters, new enemies and weapons, various skill lines, an update to Unreal Engine 5, and more cosmetics.
