Spider-Man 2 Soar Trophy: How to Glide From the Financial District to Astoria

Spider-Man 2 Soar Trophy: How to Glide From the Financial District to Astoria

The Spider-Man 2 Soar trophy has players channeling their inner Superman. It tasks players with using only the Web Wings to get from the Financial District to Astoria in one go, which is quite a journey. Here’s how to glide from the Financial District to Astoria in Spider-Man 2.

How to unlock the Spider-Man 2 Soar trophy

To get from the Financial District to Astoria in Spider-Man 2, you will obviously need to get to the Financial District first. It is located at the very southern end of Manhattan (the main island). You will be able to see what each individual district is called on the map.

Astoria is the northeastern side of the map on the other island, so it is wise to start at the northern end of the Financial District. It doesn’t have to be precisely at the above spot, but it is beneficial to be near some wind tunnels. Wind tunnels are vital for this journey, so be sure to progress far enough in the story to unlock them. The Spectacular Wings upgrade in the upgrade menu that improves handling isn’t required, but it does make this journey a little easier.

You cannot use any web swinging, point launches, dives, or wall runs here; only gliding. If you run into a building, you will have to start over. Because of this, be sure launch off a high point in the Financial District or find a wind tunnel (which are easier to see if you scan using R3).

There are multiple routes to Astoria, but the easiest one seems to be catching the slipstream at the above spot on the map.

From there, fly north and hit the vents shooting air upward to get higher.

Turn a little east to hit another vent.

From there, you should get a good view of the East River, which is full of wind tunnels. Catch the one going toward Brooklyn.

About halfway through, fly up to the slipstream going north and ride that. The momentum should be more than enough to carry to Astoria.

The trophy should pop immediately after getting into Astoria. If it did not, you will have to do it again and be extra sure to not hit any buildings or use any other abilities.
