In the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Indigo Disk postgame, you can unlock special coaches to visit Blueberry Academy. While eight are initially available, there are an additional 15 you can unlock by meeting certain requirements. Fortunately, the time investment is definitely worth it as unique Pokemon and rare items are up for grabs as part of this questline.
How to unlock all special coaches in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Indigo Disk
Most of the special coach unlock requirements in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Indigo Disk require you to beat the initial coaches and receive their Pokemon. However, for the Naraja/Uva Academy teachers, you’ll also need to complete their classes and friendship events.
Here’s how to unlock every special coach that’s currently available:
- Brassius: Unlocked by clearing Indigo Disk main story.
- Clavell: Receive Pokemon from three special coaches.
- Dendra: Receive Pokemon from three special coaches and complete all friendship events.
- Geeta: Receive Pokemon from eight special coaches.
- Grusha: Unlocked by clearing Indigo Disk main story.
- Hassel: Receive Pokemon from three special coaches and complete all friendship events.
- Iono: Unlocked by clearing Indigo Disk main story.
- Katy: Unlocked by clearing Indigo Disk main story.
- Larry: Unlocked by clearing Indigo Disk main story.
- Miriam: Receive Pokemon from three special coaches and complete all friendship events.
- Poppy: Receive Pokemon from five special coaches.
- Raifort: Receive Pokemon from three special coaches and complete all friendship events.
- Rika: Unlocked by clearing Indigo Disk main story.
- Ryme: Unlocked by clearing Indigo Disk main story.
- Saguaro: Receive Pokemon from three special coaches and complete all friendship events.
- Salvatore: Receive Pokemon from three special coaches and complete all friendship events.
- Tulip: Unlocked by clearing Indigo Disk main story.
- Tyme: Receive Pokemon from three special coaches and complete all friendship events.
Three special coaches can’t currently be unlocked. Coincidentally, three characters are conspicuously missing from the special coach line-up: Arven, Nemona, and Penny. We speculate that these three will be added as part of the epilogue DLC that arrives on January 11, 2024.
