Helldivers 2 heavy armor bug

Helldivers 2 Heavy Armor Bug: How To Avoid & Is It Getting Fixed?

Players have discovered a game-breaking Helldivers 2 heavy armor bug that can make armor ratings and extra padding inefficient. Frustrated players have upgraded to new armor from the in-game store and found that it does not perform at the promised level.

The issue is currently affecting damage resistance with players reporting slower movement speed. Thankfully, there are some workarounds to help avoid the heavy armor bug until the developer fixes it.

How to avoid the Helldivers 2 heavy armor bug

Switching to light armor or unaffected heavy armor is the best fix available as of now.

Until the developers decide to fix the bug, light armor taxes less on stamina and provides increased player mobility.

Heavy armor is supposed to increase damage resistance while being more taxing on stamina levels and movement speed. The Helldivers 2 heavy armor bug negates the damage resistance buff for certain heavy armor. This leaves players in a worse situation due to the negative perks.

Moreover, light armor allows for increased movement speed that will help players during combat while this bug remains. This is the only viable option until developers decide to intervene.

Is the Helldivers 2 heavy armor bug getting fixed in a new patch?

Although this issue will likely be addressed in the next patch for Helldivers 2, the developers have not included the heavy armor bug in their list of known issues.

Arrowhead Games Studio has released several patches for Helldivers 2. However, none of the updates have fixed the heavy armor bug.

Hopefully this problem will be permanently solved with a new patch sooner rather than later as it’s clearly hampering players’ enjoyment.
