Bandai Namco Entertainment and Slightly Mad Studios have finally set the official release date for the racing simulation Project C.A.R.S. for May 6 on Steam and May 12 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The release date announced earlier on Twitter by Bandai Namco UK stated that it will release on May 8, though that has been confirmed to be the street date for European territories.
From my initial play of Project C.A.R.S. at Bandai Namco's Global Gamers Day which took place last week, this crowdfunded new IP has the technical chops to compete with the likes of Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport.
The game has been tested and partially created alongside diehard racing fans and real-life drivers. It will feature up to 16 players online on console and up to 32 players online on PC. You can read more in my fuller-length preview.
